Should I use WCF or the ASMX web service?

I was looking for an asp.net web service that uses .net 4.0, but every time I select 4.0, the choice of web service goes away.

Someone suggested to me that maybe they (MS) want you to use WCF. I know little about this, but he said that they look like web services, but better. So, did anyone get a comparison guide?
