CSS different font size Windows / Linux / Mac

I use in CSS:

font-family:Arial,Helvetica,"Nimbus Sans L",sans-serif;

font-size: 11px;

The text size on Windows XP / Vista / 7 on Firefox / IE / Safari is different from OSx on Firefox / Safari and Ubuntu on Firefox.

Does anyone know why this is happening, and is there a solution to fix it?

yes, I found this same problem,

this is because mac actually really stands out for each font a little, sometimes sometimes, but sometimes, but enough to make you different.

do a google search for "css hacks" and you have a root around or google search query "css font hacks"

, font-weight none 1,5 em:
