Which version of drupal should I learn, 6 or 7?

I plan to try building a Drupal 7 shopping store just for fun and have been studying it for several days now. But with his current status (alpha5), I doubt that my time and efforts would be helpful. If I use 6, I’m afraid that I can’t apply my experience working with it until 7, because, you know, the last way is better and in a different way. Could you give me advice on how to approach this? Given that I stick to 7, what aspects of development should I focus on until the final release appears? Waiting for the final release before exploring is not an option, because I could not find anything better than this in my free time.

Drupal 7 only wrote 40 critical errors at this time, which means it is pretty close to rc-1. This means that Drupal 7 is not so unstable, APIs must be in place, etc. Therefore, you should not expect any major changes from now on, only bug fixes, etc.

This does not mean that you should use Drupal 7 for production sites, but you can actually, if you are not doing fancy things, etc. So you can start learning Drupal with Drupal 7.
