Ok, we find a solution (on xp windows): double-click the file → click “Copy to file” → save the file in format.

I know this is a very old question.

But in Windows 10 or Windows Server 2012 R2, if you double-click the file .p7c, Windows will try to open the file p7cusing wab.exe(Windows contact), which is incorrect.

I needed to rename the file p7ctop7b , only then it will be recognized as a certificate file.
