I'm trying to optimize some software, so I created a large amount of performance measurements in the real world - nothing unusual, just a few digits describing the case plus time in milliseconds.
I did some basic analysis on it - basically dividing the data into buckets in different ways and calculating the average values in the bucket - and it was very useful to give me a general idea, but it seems that this relationship is more complicated than I expected.
At the same time, I will continue to throw various formulas on the data, but perhaps a tool accidentally appeared that I could use to visually analyze such data and look for patterns this way? Any recommendations?
