How many people really use COM + /. NET EnterpriseServices?

I am learning COM + and EnterpriseServices. I came across a complete list of COM + services on MSDN and read each one of them.

The sheer volume of this scared me. At first glance, this is a truly advanced system that has no analogues in other development platforms. Concepts, such as combining, synchronizing, and deleting, seem really useful, and they standardized a way to do this.

Mentioning COM + / EnterpriseServices on the network is surprisingly scarce. When I typed the title here in SO, almost all related questions have 0 answers (I hope this does not become one of them). I have a feeling that all of these objects are actually used by MS to implement IIS. But they published it for some marketing buzz.

Do you have real experience using these services? Are they just excessive architecture, or do you have experience when they turned into custodians in real time?
