Strangest Thing Ever: Core Location remains active even if the application does not work

This afternoon I spent my iPhone 4 at the Apple Store to find out if they can help with the problem I am facing. The battery life was NOT AT ALL, which should be - the battery drops by 50%, sitting on my desk all night. Crazy. Therefore, I suspect that I have a block. It happens. No biggie.

My friendly genius envelops my phone a little and indicates that the location services indicator is on in the upper right corner of the screen. It is part of the location services settings. He notes that in the following applications, the checkboxes “location data for the last few hours” are checked: “Weather channel”, “Show time” and two applications that I wrote, and a few days from sending.

It disables the sliders for each of these applications, and we see that the top corner services pointer is disabled. Returning to the location services for my applications, I turned around again, and this does NOT apply to the Weather Channel or Showtimes. But it’s clear that enabling location services for my two applications launches device location services. My lousy battery life is explained, but this is only the beginning of the mystery.

Here's the thing .... None of my EVEN RUNNING apps at that time. They are not even interested. They are off. I think both of them are now embedded in the debug profile on my device, and both of them use Core Location. They are not suspended, they simply do not work. Nevertheless, the inclusion of a slider in the control panel of the location services for any of them starts the location services in general.

So ... What the hell is going on here? None of these applications are configured for background layout. And ... they are not in the background! And since my location services were turned off, there is no doubt that battery usage will go down.
