Is there any reason why I should NOT automatically configure the html form parameters?

Question

I was only surprised to notice that spaces at the beginning or end of form parameters are not automatically deleted in ASP.NET MVC 2 (browser: Firefox).

I always assumed that this would be so, simply because I could not see the scenario in which I would not want the cropping to happen by default.

This can be easily fixed by doing the appropriate ActionFilterAttribute, but I'm still wondering why this is not the default.

So, is there any reason why I should NOT automate the form settings?
