How to connect code to a running iphone application

I am trying to fix accidental freeze in my iphone application. I could not recover the hang by starting it from xcode. Is their way of attaching an xcode debugger as soon as I detect a hang? (I can attach it to the "tools"), but that didn't help much.

No, you cannot connect your gdbiPhone to an already running process. This may be possible if you jailbreak by phone.
