QSvgRendererallows you to display certain elements from the SVG according to their idinside the widget. Managing tabs is a completely different matter and you will need to do this usingQTabWidget

I am sure that the identifier they are talking about here is the identifier of the XML element in SVG-xml. eg:
<symbol overflow="visible" id="glyph0-0"> ... </symbol>
if your SVG does not have identifiers, you will have to change it to include them.
