ClickOnce expects to use a signature certificate for distribution. If I were developing the main application, I could understand the purchase of a certificate. However, my application is intended for a small company, and I can not justify the costly ones.
My question is when my application first installs, how can I automatically install my own root CA in trusted root certificates so that there are no problems with my self-signed program?
My current self-signed CA Root and software certificate were installed between Exchange 2010 / IIS 7.0 and OpenSSL. Clients will be deleted, so I do not want to use the Microsoft Certificate Authority. You can see how I developed the certificates at http://www.tekcrack.com/creating-your-own-self-signed-sans-certificate-for-exchange-2010-and-iis-70-1of3.html
Has anyone encountered the same problem? What route did you take to get around it ... for free?
