Python - Reportlab: error when using custom font

Question

Im using reportlab structure to create pdf files. I also use my own font in my pdf format called "3of9". Now, sometimes I get the following error:

IOError: Cannot open resource "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/reportlab/fonts/LeERC___.AFM", while looking for faceName='3of9'

This does not happen every time, but too often. And in most cases, everything works well, so I have no idea why the error occurs.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

or make sure you have LeerC ___. AFM at the specified path or try upgrading to a newer version of reportlab.
