Does the spark list have something similar to itemsChangeEffect in the mx list?

Question

I am trying to animate a list when I delete the top line. All the examples I can use itemsChangeEffectto bind to the effect, but this property exists only in MX lists, and not in spark lists.

Any idea how I can get the same effect as in Spark Lists?

I try to remove the topmost item in the list with a little fade effect until the rest of the items move to replace the gap.
