Average voip compression speed?

I run some sound compression tests and try out Skype Silk . In their test application, I see a compression ratio of 94%. It seems high, is this a typical bet on Silk? How comparable is this to other audio compression codecs?

Most speech / telephony codecs work at rather low speeds, so 94% do not sound unrealistic, especially if you start with a rather high sampling rate. For instance. 22 kHz 8-bit audio, compressed to a stream of 9600 bps, will be about 94% of the compression.
