Mediafilesegmenter on CentOS?

I am working on a project where I need to convert files to several media formats, some of which will be broadcast on the iPhone. I use ffmpeg on a CentOS server and use the mediafilesegmenter locally to create m3u8 playlists and it went smoothly, but trying to get the process running on a unix server, I cannot find the ported / alternative version of mediafilesegmenter to use on the centOS server.

So here is the question:

Where can I find ported or open source mediafilesegmenter version?

In addition, I will need the same solution for the variantplaylistcreator, although if it is absolutely necessary, I think I could create a script to create them.

Any ideas? I believe there is a tool called "segmenter" there, but it is not in any of my repositories, and I cannot track its repo.

I work in a company with several thousand (payment) videos. We have been using (for more than 2 years) a segment based on Jesse and are working very well, we get it here

PD: There are corresponding errors in old versions of ffmpeg

Also for everyone in the future - they tried this and another segment of the OSS segment - and they caused some artifacts when playing in JWPlayer flash (but not in native iDevices). Furthermore, according to this Zencoder, the post-apple segmenter is more efficient with the streams it produces: http://blog.zencoder.com/2011/12/08/announcing-the-clouds-most-efficient-http-live -streaming /
