Automatically detect macros in LyX documents

Question

I have been using LyX all the time, and over the past 2 years I have accumulated some very useful macros for my lectures. Like today, every time I start a new document, I copy and paste macros from one of my other documents. Is it possible in some way to automatically download macros for all files?

Simply specify your macros in the preamble (Document> Preferences ...> LaTeX Presentation), then click the "Save as default documents" button.
