AD0.NET Entity Framework 4.0 or Linq-to-SQL

I am developing an application with asp.net 4.0. My site will be heavy, as more than a hundred users will be online at the same time, and there will be a lot of content. I checked both the essence of ado.net framework 4.0 and Linq-To-SQL with Microsoft.NET Framework 4.0, and there are big improvements. I am confused by what I should use. Performance is one of the key aspects of my application. I do not want to degrade the performance of my application by making poor choices. Can someone help me with this? Any reference or any suggestion would be appreciated.
