Best data type for large strings in MySQL

I am currently installing it as varchar with a maximum length of 15000 - it stores forum posts so that they can vary greatly in size. Thank!

Try using the TEXT data type . This is more convenient if you want to store really large lines.

The problem with textand longtextis that it cannot really hold it. Everything looks great from the outside, but when the data is checked, most of them are truncated into smaller lines.
