Mac suitable for python programming?

I am programming a django based site. I really use a small computer under Ubuntu 10.04. I would like to buy something more professional, so I wonder if iMac is suitable for this, because:

  • Is there a free IDE that is the same as eclipse on macOS?
  • Is there a python remote debugger like pydev for eclipse?
  • Are there typical problems with python on macOS?
  • Does apache + mod_wsgi work on macOS?

Why do you think the iMac is more or less professional than anything else? Hardware? System? Note. I myself am a MacOSX and Linux user.
