Detecting which version of SSL and TLS and ciphers were negotiated by the browser

Is there a way to open from a browser (any browser, with a plugin, if required) which version of SSL / TLS was used for the SSL session and which ciphers were negotiated?

Alternatively, does anyone know any convenient tools that list the supported ciphers and the SSL / TLS version for the remote SSL server?

I don't know about a browser or add-on, but you can use Wireshark to find the TLS version and cipher suite. Open Wireshark and capture traffic in your internet connection while you browse the site. Filter out “SSL” and look in the “Information” column for “Application Data”. The Protocol column indicates the SSL / TLS version for this traffic. Find "Server Greeting" in the "Information" column and expand the "Secure Socket" "+" sign in the second panel, then click on the "+" icons with "Hello Server" until you see "Cipher Suite: ..."

The connection to this site is encrypted and authenticated using TLS 1.2 (a
strong protocol), ECDHE_RSA with X25519 (a strong key exchange), and
AES_128_GCM (a strong cipher).
