Opening iWorks documents on iPad UIWebView

I am writing an iPad application that has a UIWebView that I open for Word and Excel documents, but I want the user to be able to import these documents into iWorks applications, pages and numbers, just like you can do it in Safari if you open the document.

If you open the document in Safari on the iPad, a button with the words "Open in ..." will appear on the top bar, and you can select the applications to open. You will get the top bar to appear in the middle of the page.

So, is there an option that allows UIWebView to display a panel and automatically determine the type of content and populate the list with applications into which you can import? Or do I need to build it on my own? And if I need to create my own, how do I open URLs for importing documents into pages and numbers, etc.?

AFAIK, UIWebView does not offer any functions of this kind. You must use UIDocumentInteractionControllerone that is designed specifically for this purpose. From the docs:
