How to change the JAR icon on Mac?

I have a JAR file on my mac called Test.jar, and the file works fine when I click on it. All he does is simply open a small window and display a β€œTest”, so this is a simple application (I'm new to Java programming).

My question is: how to change the jar file icon to another icon of my choice? I have yet to figure it out on my own, and I don't know what to do. As I said, I use mac, so MS Windows methods are probably different from what I should do.

As the related answer shows, this is platform dependent. OSX really allows you to easily package your Java application as a native OSX application. See http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/articles/javase/javatomac3-137430.html
