JVM Performance Test Suite

I just ported phoneME to our MIPS platform. I feel that it is not working so fast; however, is there a set of performance tests that I can work with to get a quantitative measure of performance? I may need to highlight some weaknesses for optimization. Also, what are the general criteria used to evaluate the JVM?

Look at jbenchmark, while I can not vouch for the quality of my test suite, they have a large set of results from running the test on different mobile phones, which should make it easier to compare your engine with other engines on similar equipment.
