New in WordPress. How viable is a CMS for a small business website?

I know that the huge community of people behind WordPress over the past couple of years has pushed him to the full-blown CMS territory, but it’s still unclear to what extent. Would it be nice to handle something like a small website with a simple shopping basket, for example?

Yes, you can use a wrench to pound the screws if you need it, but you can better reconsider.

WordPress may well work with a small shopping cart website, and this is probably useful for people who have grown up on a blog and are turning into sales.

However, from what I read a little about WordPress 3, one of the biggest hurdles to clean up, custom post / content-types , is present in the kernel. As far as I'm not sure. It is probably best to leave this in the hands of the inflexible WordPress dev.

Of course, it is true that there are special CMS that collect more or more of this, but do not reduce the value of the experience. The right tool for the job should be the right tool for the job.
