I am trying to get a simple jqplot example, but it will not display, why not?

Here is the full contents of the file:

I do not see errors in my Apache error log. I know that all .js files are accessible from html. Does anyone have an idea why this might not work?

Got my answer with jqPlot message board .

divshould have been before the call jqPlot. I think it makes sense, but I just couldn't see it. My noob colors show ....
