Android: How can I determine if a gallery item is a click on the center button?

Question

I would like to display the gallery element that the user clicked in full screen mode, however, only if this element is in the center.
If the clicked element is not in the center, I would like it to just be centered.
Any idea how to distinguish an element that is currently in the center from all other elements?

getSelectedItemPosition () in the Gallery object should work.
