C ++ code coverage tool

I am looking for a C ++ code coverage tool that is great for mutli server setup and for both windows and Linux without licensing issues (if it's not free).

I did some research and found 2 free tools: Covtool and gcov. Any flaws on these or any other suggestions?

Although I don't remember all the details of my research for code coverage tools, I seem to remember the following about gcov and covtool:

  • They require custom changes to your build system.
  • They need custom compiler flags and / or link steps
  • Both provide minimal output and formatting.
