Track custom changes in ASP.NET MVC

I have a requirement to keep track of which authenticated users change in relation to the data at login. I don’t need to keep track of which pages they are looking at, although this can be very useful in the future.

I was thinking about saving the User Guid, but that seems very awkward. I need to do simple things, such as the old value and the new value. I use Entity Framework, is there any support there with stored procedures in SQL Server?

Are there other methods / best practices?
