Is the vertical space equivalent of \ makebox?

I am making a LaTeX document, and I am successful with the help \makeboxthat puts the text in an invisible cell and adds extra horizontal spaces to the end so that it all fits the size you specify.

Is there something similar for vertical space?

I have a few paragraphs, images, etc. that I want to fit into this vertical frame. I want LaTeX to put the right amount of vertical space (bottom), so it’s all about the given size that I give it.

A minipagemedium has a height parameter:

The box LaTeX team offers to perform vertical settings \raisebox:

\raisebox{distance}[extend-above][extend-below]{insert your text here...}

Using the parameter, distanceyou can specify the offset to raise or lower the text, and you can use the extend-aboveand parameters to add additional space extend-below. This command, for example, is great for placing a small amount of text with a small font size in a line with a large font size.
