Mix a4 and a3 in one Latex file

I am finishing a dissertation and have a great app. Some tables look good if done first on a3, and then (paper) printed on a4. Anyway, working on all seperalty files is fine, but I'm struggling to compile it all in one.

I use the geometry package and run the document with:

\usepackage[a4paper,left=30mm,right=20mm,top=20mm, bottom=20mm]{geometry}

In the application, I want to include a table and use

\newgeometry{a3paper,left=25mm,right=15mm, top=15mm, bottom=15mm}

However, the command is completely ignored, and I can read over the table "a3paper, left = 25mm, right = 15mm, top = 15mm, bottom = 15mm".

What did I miss? Is it possible? If not, how do I get the correct numbers, if I have to include it as pdf (which works)?

Thank!
