IE Mixed Warining Content Using https and http: 443 URLs?

I get a good ole '' This page contains both safe and insecure elements. "dialogue in IE when connecting to the HTTPS site. No big deal ... I just got something in an insecure connection, so this should be easy to fix, right?

So, I go to "Browsing> Web Privacy Policy ..." to see where I included the HTTP file, and this is what I see ...

https://blah/path/to/file.htm
https://blah/path/to/file.js
http://blah:443/path/to/file.css

Hmm ... okay ... so ... there is HTTP only the URL is requested, but this happens through port 443 (" https: // blah / " is short for " http: // blah: 443 / " EDIT: no, this is not true, actually [see slugster answer / my comments below] ), therefore ...

What a deal with that !? IE 7.0.5730.13 can't be that stupid, can it?

Is there an IIS setting that needs to be configured?

You specified the port, but you also specified the protocol as normal (insecure) http. This is not IE stupidity - you expect it to cover your mistake.
