I have a little overload of information over the past two days.
I plan to launch my own website, which will allow local companies to list their products on sale, and then users can go in and look for an “Abercrombie T-shirt,” and stores that sell them will be sold.
This is a neat little project that I'm really excited about and I'm sure it will take off, but I have problems with the exit.
Of course, I could use ASP.Net for it, I am a little familiar with it, and the IDE for ASP.Net pages is not, but I think this is a great chance for me to learn something new for the industry a bit, and not to break .NET is like a robot.
I searched and asked, but all this is just noise, and I can’t make an educated decision.
Can you help me choose a framework / platform that will make me learn something interesting that I need to know in the labor market, but it is also nice for me to grow as a professional?
So far I watched:
- Ruby on Rails
- Kohana
- Cakephp
- CodeIgniter
- Symfony
But they are all very esoteric for me, and it’s even hard for me to find out which IDE will use for this, which will allow me to use autocomplete for my own keywords / methods.
Thank you for your time.
