Trying to solve between asp.net and jsp

I am wondering if anyone can shed light on the situation. I am going to start a project and try to figure out which solution is best to use with asp.net or java jsp pages.

I personally worked a lot with .net, and I am very pleased with the infrastructure and Visual Studio, since the IDE I find it easy to work with, and there is tremendous support for the .net community, I can make money quickly.

I have not written a single word java jsp, there will be a learning curve here, so my experience here is limited. however, seeing jira, I am very impressed with its capabilities, it has changed a lot since the old days (java 1.2) that I worked with, and the fact that it works under Linux is a huge plus, so I’m trying to decide whether the learning curve is worth price?

so give a situation above what you recommended?

Thanks Amir

JIRA - software for tracking problems and errors; it can work with any development environment, so it does not affect your choice of development platform.

If this is an important project or has time or budget restrictions, use a platform with which you are familiar with what works for you.

If you have the time and desire to learn a new platform, there is a certain merit. More importantly, who will keep it when you're not around? Will it be deployed in an environment that is already .NET-oriented?
