How to remove discussions from whiteboards

Like any other software company, we use LOT whiteboards. We use it for a wide range of events - design discussions, project planning, brainstorming, interviews, etc. However, after we finish the discussion, we end up spending a lot of time just copying material for notes.

Very often we encounter two problems -

  • We don’t have enough space (at this moment we must pause the discussion while someone takes notes).
  • Our time and some other commands should use conf conf (again, they have to wait until we finish taking notes).

Sometimes we end up taking pictures and taking notes later.

How did other developers solve this problem? Has anyone tried to use smart boards?

Any recommendations?

There are many ways:

  • The easiest way is to simply use the camera and take a picture of the board at critical stages.
  • A more advanced way would be to use fully digitally using a wall type at the smart card level (i.e. displaying a lot of hunking).
  • Cheaper solutions work with a computer to display, a conventional projector, and special equipment (such as pens) to find where you are pointing or doing things on the wall.

I tried all three and I liked the full display, but in some cases it is quite expensive.

A good enough solution is integration with a computer.
