Report Library for Linux / C ++ / Gtk?

We have a C ++ Gtk application that currently has the "homebrew" component. We aim to move to a more fully functional report library, preferably with the WYSIWYG designer, a preview / graphical user interface viewer and PDF export options.

Any recommendations?

It is not clear what you mean by a reporting component. But you can preview and create PDF files using Cairo, although this is a pretty low level. At the very least, this can be used as the basis for the reporting component that interests you.

Is it possible to use BIRT or JasperReports (open source Java libraries, each of which has a WYSIWYG constructor) and call it either JNI, or by running the appropriate viewer in the subprocess?
