Migrating from SQL Server to firebird: pro and cons

I consider migration for 4 reasons:

1) Installing SQLSERVER is a nightmare, especially for 1-user software (even if I usually have 3-20 users, sometimes I sell my software to single users: it is incredible to have problems installing the database when installing applicationatino means copying exe .. .). (note that my maximum installation is 100 users, but there is no upper limit). The software installs after 10 seconds, SQLServer after 1 hour. Installing Firebird is a lot easier.

2) SQLSERVER only works on a Windows server

3) My clients have all the express edition

4) I do not use any advanced feature, now I am starting to use filestream, but the main reason for this is that Express Edition has a size limit of 4 / 10GB db

Thus, these are all the advantages of switching to Firebird.

What are the disadvantages?

I can also plan to support both platforms, but it will have unpleasant consequences, I'm afraid.

I no longer see the need to thoroughly test all existing code for compatibility issues.
