Saving modified pdf content

I have a form that I downloaded, I would like to pre-fill some content on the form (it's easy to use cfpdfform).

Where this is difficult, I would like to allow the user to modify the contents of this form, and then somehow have the modified content available to me. I did not create the original PDF file, so I do not know how to allow the user to “save” new content so that they can be read.

Any ideas on where I can start on this?

You can also use the cfpdfform tag to read / write data to a PDF file that has a form. The important thing is that the PDF already has form fields available or that you are adding them.

I recently completed a task when I had to fill out a regular web form and then create a completed version of an existing PDF. He worked like the wind!

I think that depending on what you are trying to execute, if the user fills in the data in a web form, he is less confused than serving the PDF file and expects him to save it for updating the file on the remote server. Just my opinion.
