How to manage page number in FOP?

Question

I am using Apache FOP 0.95 and all I want to do is add 1 to the current page number.

So, on page 12, I want to show 12/13. Then nothing on page 13, of course.

Any ideas how I could do this, possibly by manipulating <fo:page-number />?

The short answer for this is that you cannot achieve the result you get with direct FO.

This is because you cannot program access to page numbers until the FOP assigns them, so your XSLT does not know what they are.
