I know that this may seem trivial for someone, the other will not make sense, however - for me it would be great:
I'm trying to decide how to quickly and efficiently commit updates to my Rails application, switch to the style page under construction when I restart the rails application and then test the changes, and then when I'm happy, return to the live public version.
I am currently following the following pattern:
- 1, make changes to the application
- 2, make use of the Versions app for Mac in BeanstalkApp
- 3, deploy the audit from BeanstalkApp to the server
- 4, log in to the server and restart apache
- 5, wait a few seconds, and then start a double check: all A-OK
If this helps, I use Passenger in the Turnkey Turnkey VPS image.
Thanks in advance for any advice, etc.
Thank,
Danny
