Is cropping jpeg images using lossless PIL?

Simple questions really. If you crop a jpeg image using the Python image library, will the resulting image be recompressed or lossless?

Generally not. There is a python shell for lossless jpeg library .

Cropping can be almost lossless if you delete all 8x8 pixel blocks
