What is the profitability of using a build tool like ant or nant?

That sounds like a really stupid question to me.

Why don't you use the build tool?

However, I need to explain to my employee why he should use some kind of building tool.

He really gets the idea to work in a team with a large number of programmers, but he does not understand a more general picture of what needs to be changed during the assembly process in order to work with a larger team; (i.e., defensive programming / modulation checking your code, the presence of an error database, programming module libraries and using sub-repositories to store modules in version control .

This is a fairly large technology stack in which I need to prove the ROI ... so I decided that I would start with the ROI of using the build tool, and not just ... say ... by clicking compilation.
