How to create a button in cocos2d?

Question

I am new to cocos2d. I want to create a button by touching the same thing as some events to be generated.

But I do not know how to make a button in the same. As well as save the username. But I can’t even create a text box.

If anyone knows, kindly help create both.

If I'm not mistaken, then there is no method that will create a button something like our usual iphone codes.

For cocos2d, by creating some functions that will work like buttons, we need to create CCMenuItem. Menu items are the best way to create a button and are easy to manage.
