Can an html5 video element play flash movies?

Element

<video>- This is a ready-made cross-browser for playing videos, while most videos right now are in flash memory format. I am new to tags, so if possible, a sample code on how to play a flash movie with a tag <video>will be nice

The tag itself does not indicate which formats are supported. Each browser must choose which codecs to support. I do not believe that any browser supports flash video as part of its tag support.

No, It is Immpossible. Flash movies require a different codec that is not supported by html5. Depending on the browser used to play movies, the h.264 codec or the Google VP8 codec is supported. For example, .OGG files will play with HTML5.

edit: since Flash and html5 videos are each other, I doubt that .flv files will be supported in html5. It would be nice, but :-)
