JDBC ODBC Bridge for Mac OSX

Question

I find it difficult to establish a connection to the database file using the JDBC-ODBC bridge. The driver I use is sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver, but I believe that it is not on Mac OSX by default and therefore throws an exception for a class that is not found.

I searched Google for a driver, but could not find much useful information. Can someone please help me establish a connection? Or send me any link that contains the information I'm looking for?
