AT command to retry the SIM contact

Does anyone know the AT command that will let me ask how many attempts to enter the PIN code on the SIM card before it blocks me?

Have I tried AT + CPIN? but this does not give me how many times can I enter the PIN code before I need the PUK. How do ordinary phones do it?

Thanks in advance.

This is not part of the ETSI specification, so it depends on the equipment you use.

It is most often called “Pin Counter” and can be read through AT^SPIC, however your best bet is looking for “Pin Counter” in the documentation of AT device commands.
