What Wikipedia uses to mark up text and version

I am trying to take 2 versions of text (10 pages) and compare 2 to get the difference. I know that Wikipedia has a similar function for comparing versions. Does anyone know what they are using? I hope they use a php-driven solution.

There is implimentation diff in php . I did not use it, but this is the beginning. There is also something called PHP inline diff that you can check
