Tortoisegit push successful, but no new files?

I installed the git repository on the linux server and installed the latest MSysGit and TortoiseGit on my Windows 7 laptop. I can pull TortoiseGit from the remote repository and I can commit and click on the remote repository. If I run git log on a remote server, it can correctly display the latest comments. But there are no new files on the remote server. Please advise and suggest. Thank you very much.

It is highly recommended that you never click on a * non-bare repository. Instead, you should create a bare repository that is a clone of your remote repository. The laptop will go to the bare repository, then the remote repository will be pulled out of the bare one.

If you click on a non-bare repository, you will accidentally lose your job sooner or later.

Index updated, but not workspace. To update the workspace, use git reset. If you have incomplete modifications, be sure to fix them, git stashuse them, or use git reset --hardif you do not mind losing them.

edit: Probably a moot point by now, but it does not look like git resetenough on its own - use it git reset --hard.
