Getting error opening excel file from eclipse

I get the following error on

Unable to create in-place editor

This is probably because there is no OLE Editor registered by the type of file you tried to open. Failed to create Ole client. result = -2147417851

I have MS office 2007, and the excel file is stored as "save as version 2003".

I use 3.5, so it could be different. Window-> Preferences-> General-> Editors-> File Associations.

Add * .xls and add the Associated Editor (from this window you can select external programs to open)
