What is the most mature library for rendering equal French images in Flash?

I have a series of equiangular images. I would like to display them in a custom Flash player so that the user can see the spherical nature of the images and “search”, “look down”, “look left / right” (or pan, zoom, etc.), (Please note that I have a long series of images, so the library should allow the dynamic loading of the images themselves, and not have images "baked" in the SWF player.)

What is the best library for displaying equiangular images in Flash? By "best" I mean the most mature, the most reliable, the most reliable and fastest.

For reference, an example of an equiangular image can be found at http://archive.bigben.id.au/tutorials/360/background/projections.html .

It seems like it should be possible to write a Pixel Bender kernel that handles projection. The only problem is that your material is divided into several fragments, so some other tools will need to first download the source files and pre-select the necessary fragments for a certain type in one raster image, which is then transferred to the shader.

I searched on google and here is what I found: http://www.subblue.com/blog/2010/6/17/little_planets
