Avoid starting the software after copying to the next computer?

I developed a little software. I want to provide and run it only on a commercial basis. I want it to run on machines that bought it from me.

If someone copies it from their client computer and runs it on the next computer, I would like to stop working / starting the software.

What can be the ways to prevent piracy of my software?

Adapting one of my previous answers:

There are several ways to “activate” copied software to try to stop accidentally copying an application.

Companies like ours (Wibu-Systems), Safe-Net and Flexera (expensive) offer contactless solutions as well as hardware. But _simon was right that the key is the only hardware-protected protection. All software systems can be hacked; it’s just that some of them are harder than others. Really good hardware solutions are effectively liberated. No one has cracked a CodeMeter stick if it has not been corrupted.
